Terms of Service
Effective October 7, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and HostCrypt ("HostCrypt", "we", "us") about your use of the HostCrypt live chat service at chat.hostcrypt.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you use the Service for an organisation, you accept them on its behalf.
Your account
- Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us at shubhairan@icloud.com if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for everything done in your workspace, including by teammates you invite.
- Give accurate information, and use the Service only if you are old enough to make a binding agreement where you live.
The Service
The Service lets you chat with visitors of your website and other channels, manage contacts, publish help articles and automate replies. We may improve, change or remove features over time. We run the Service with trusted software and hosting providers who act on our instructions.
Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- send spam or unsolicited messages, or mislead people about who you are;
- break the law, infringe others' rights, or share illegal, harmful, hateful or sexually explicit content involving minors;
- spread malware, phish for passwords or payment details, or attack or overload any system;
- collect sensitive personal data (such as health data or full card numbers) through the messenger without a lawful basis;
- resell, copy or reverse-engineer the Service, or try to get around its limits or security.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Your data and your visitors
- You own the content you and your visitors add to the Service. You give us the permissions we need to host, process and show it so the Service works.
- For your visitors' personal data you are the controller and we process it on your behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for telling your visitors how you use their data and for having a lawful basis to do so.
- You can export your data at any time in Settings → Data & privacy.
Fees
Fees, billing periods and payment terms are those agreed between you and HostCrypt. If fees are not paid, we may suspend the Service after telling you.
Availability and support
We work hard to keep the Service available and secure, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. For help, write to shubhairan@icloud.com.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service — when we can, we will tell you in advance so you can export your data.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in advance, for example by email or in the Service. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where HostCrypt is established, and disputes are handled by the courts there, unless the law of the place where you live says otherwise.
